@elzahraahassane: The word “sin” is in Arabic means Dhanb Which is rooted from the word ‎ذَنَب — dhanab — which means “a tail.” A tail is something that comes behind you. It follows. And this implies that The sinful act may finish in a moment, but its consequences may continue long after the moment is gone. And this is one of the biggest misconceptions we have about sin. We sometimes think sin is only about the Hereafter: “Will I go to Heaven or Hell?” But sin is not only about what happens after we die. Sin can affect the life we are living right now.
