Samsung redesigned the hinge and the internal structure of the Fold8 to make the device thinner and lighter. That’s why some things work differently compared to older models. Samsung had this functionality for years on previous Fold models and it worked perfectly fine. The same design trade-off is also one of the reasons the Apple Duo is thicker. So laughing at Samsung for this without understanding the engineering behind it doesn’t really make much sense. 😅
