My dad and I were flying from Geelong to Sydney and had debated which flight we would take - morning or lunch. I argued the morning so we would have time to nap in the hotel before heading out for the night. The morning flight went off without a hitch. The lunch flight had an attempted hijacking and all remaining flights were grounded. I’m sure that if we were on that flight my dad would have had a heart attack. I always pick flights now.

The San Bernardino event was 15 min away from my university- I happen to skip class that day because my bestie needed help with getting her passport & I told her I would go with her, us playing hooky definitely was our angels looking out for us , another one was the Las Vegas event was missed by a few days & supposed wasn’t chosen because the guy who was planning it didn’t get to book the room he wanted or he fell sick or something like that I was at the music festival the week before and he planned to do it at that one which was the festival I attended I also happened to lose my phone and contacts -which never happened before or again ?! , lots of weird things like this unfortunately have happened to me. Missing pileups, a woman runner who was trampled down the street. I always know when my plans don’t work it’s because I’m being divinely protected 🙏 most recently was being grounded on the tarmack for 2+hours for a work trip they refused to tell us what happened exactly but 9/11 was the first thing that came to mind 🥺

I was in Utrecht for a project and needed to get the tram to my destination, but missed it by a few seconds and saw it driving off from the stop. Few minutes later I got a message "Please tell me you're already at your destination or you're still at the station?" and so I called my husband. Turned out that exact metro was attacked by terrorists. Four died, several others gravely injured. It was almost straight across from the destination I was going too. So I called them after I called my husband and they told me and they obviously wanted to postpone the project by a few days. Later found out one of the project managers died in that attack.

In high school I was part of a political party’s youth group. We used to have seminars with sleepovers that took place over the weekends and camp once a year during the summer for youth members across the country. One year I wanted to attend camp with friends from school and all the new people I had met at these seminars. "Unfortunately" I found out about the dates too late and I opted to sit this one out and just go next year instead. That camp was held at the island of Utøya, 22,July 2011 in Norway. The country’s first terrorist attack. One single man that put a bomb in the political quarter of the capital as a decoy, so he later could go to the island dressed as a police officer and do a mass shooting where 69 people lost their lives. 77 in total that day. I know victims and survivors from that day, crazy to think I could have been either of them.

Went to an event here in DC. I was shaking Pres Clinton’s hand and he stated a conversation with someone and held on to my hand for about 5 minutes.

Was going out for the night. Was minutes from my destination and for some reason just turned around and went home. There was a shooting that night with many people hit.

A few weeks ago, I was visiting my parents across town. When I was about to leave their home, my folks stood for a few extra moments talking to me in their driveway. Had I left when I was originally going to, I would have ended up in the middle of the road while a plane made an emergency landing, right where I usually drive on my way back. There was debris from the plane on the road, and it had hit a few vehicles ahead of me, unaliving one person and injuring others. It was a harrowing experience.

July 1, 1993 was my birthday so I was so preoccupied I missed my bus to work. I lived in San Francisco at the time and worked at 101 California as a temp in an office. Usually at lunch time a few of us would run up and down the stairwell during lunch as we were training. Since I arrived late I had to take a later lunch. That afternoon around lunchtime a disgruntled broker stormed into a law firm on the 34th floor and started shooting at people he then went to different floors going down the stairwell. He killed 8 people. I worked on the 32nd floor. On a normal day a group of us would have been in that stairwell but none of us were there. Never take a day for granted 🙏🏽

Went to see my bestie, no reason really. Walked around the farm chatting with him for a couple of hours. As I was leaving I remembered I had a camera in my car so took a photo of him. A week or so later I got the news he'd been killed on a motorcycle. God sent me there to see him as he knew he was going to die and wanted me to share time with him and even got me to take his photo which is hanging on my wall as I type. God is good. Can't wait to see my soulmate again.

The shooting at the DC Holocaust Museum in 2009. Back then I sat in an office that faced that building, like I could clearly see the museum entrance from my office window. It just so happens that I called out sick that day. Fast-forward two years later, when we had an earthquake in DC. I was so scared that I didn’t realize it was an earthquake, I thought it was a terrorist attack. I thought someone had slammed their car into the office building.
