@nealkshah: The Lindsay Clancy Trial Ended in CHAOS. The Holdout Juror Was Black? The trial ended in a dramatic 11-to-1 mistrial. Eleven jurors voted to find Clancy not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility due to postpartum psychosis, while a SINGLE juror held out for a conviction on first-degree murder. On national television, majority juror Paula Devlin revealed to Gayle King that the lone holdout was a young Black man in his thirties - the ONLY person of color on a panel comprising nine white women and three men. That revelation completely upended the national conversation, exposing deep divides surrounding maternal mental health, criminal justice, racial disparities, and political rhetoric. In this video, we break down the hidden dynamics of the trial and what it means.

You bring up a great point about race and both cases. My bet is that the lone juror wasn’t thinking that deep though

that judge had no business continuing to be a judge for anyone but especially Lindsay's case being so similar. how tf was that allowed? barring medical records?

First off, I would love to work with a team with this level of understanding of healthcare inequality. I've worked as a RMA for close to 30 years. After understanding the additional support minorities needed, I added CCHW and some other certifications to my creditials. Helping to be a liaison, advocate and obtain focused resources to support SDOH. This includes mental health services and support. We know these programs didn't come to be because of the overwhelming percentage of inadequate services in the minority population. So many times getting those same programs, same high levels of care, same empathy, same advocacy, same health options or same legal support is not the same for a Black person or other minority individuals. This was a wonderful breakdown to give a basic analogy to help the masses understand. Thank you for taking the time to make it plan for those that don't get it. This is it 💯💯💯🤜🏽🤛🏽💪🏽
