@artbyahmaad: The City of Handicrafts Located in the Sargodha District, Sillanwali was once famous for green fields and the export of agricultural products around sub-continent due to railway links. Originally developed by the British in the late 19th century as an agricultural hub. Major crops include citrus fruits (kinnow/oranges), wheat, rice, and sugarcane. But after 1947 migration, people who settled here not just migrated but came with a skill that made this city famous called ‘Handicrafts’ As this is a part of sub continent and Punjab culture so people of Sillanwali expanded their passion and love with it. Famous both nationally and internationally for its traditional wooden lacquer art and handmade crafts. This skill was brought to the area by migrant families from Haryana during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
