at least with private hire u know who the driver is and the vehicle it's all recorded much safer and if anything does happen the driver will get caught easily because they have all the details at hand.

All the journeys can be tracked with uber you have a picture of the driver you can share your journey with your partner parents friends etc so they know your location with a black cab you don’t know the drivers name you can’t share location so I think uber is safer :)
