I may be wrong, But maybe even Vernon feels guilty. When Harry says "I'm just a waste of space isn't that right, Vernon?" he goes quiet and almost seems guilty for his past treatment of Harry, After all I'm pretty sure Vernon was going off Petunias treatment to Harry no? I mean Vernon would have had no reason to hate Harry unless Petunia was harsh first

The Clock Tower, rising since the 1300s, served as gate, prison, armory, and timekeeper, its mechanism still counting days with monastic discipline. Vlad Țepeș was born here in 1431, long before legend distorted him into theater.
