Told you man simple work 🔥 something cool you could do is use a apple tv as an exit node where you could use tailscale as just regular vpn back to you home internet beyond your homelab

Way to go! Now imagine having a custom domain for each of your services. Instead of typing 10.x.x.x:8006 to access Proxmox and dealing with HTTP, you could just use something like prox.yourdomain.com.

I've been thinking about doing this for when we travel, just trying see if I should put it on the media server. or spin it up in a new machine and lock it down with some policies.

ssh in use: tailscale status make sure it says DIRECT not RELAY if it can't established a direct connection it'll go via derp relay servers and you will not be able to stream movies through it without it buffering all day. also you should look into getting a KVM unless you have ipmi on your server. pikvm glinet comet kvm jetkvm nanokvm
