@drstefanweiss: Redness around your nose that never quite goes away? There may be more behind it than you think. Persistent redness in this area can have several possible causes, including rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, irritation from skincare products or visible blood vessels. And because these conditions can look similar, treating the redness without knowing what’s causing it may not get you very far. If the redness keeps coming back or has become a constant, it’s worth having a dermatologist take a closer look. Schedule an appointment with Trillium Dermatology and let’s figure out what your skin is trying to tell you. #Dermatology #ChapelHill #SkincareTreatment #SkincareAdvice #SkinHealth
Anyone struggling with sebhorric dermatitis, the only thing that helps is hydrocortisone cream.

My daughter has chronic rhinitis and takes Zyrtec singulair, Flonase and she also has this around her nose. The derm has told us it was seborrheic dermatitis. Got a little better with ketoconazooe wash but comes back. Do you think there could be any components of the Flonase contributing to it?

Anyone with perioral dermatitis, get hypochlorous acid (in the uk there’s Vital Baby Hygiene Aquaint Cleansing Water- it’s dirt cheap and easy to find in boots), 10-15% azeliac acid (if you can get 15% that’s better for stronger flair ups, though it’s prescription only. 10% is good for daily normal use when your clear), and a strong moisturiser. Unscented vitamin E oil on top if it’s not too much for your skin too. 🫶

I have it as part of my dermatitis. Very fun. Still can't get treatment that isn't a cortisone cream or anti-fungal that doesn't work.

I have the redness. It popped up randomly & hasn’t gone away. Some days it’s more red than others but not painful or crusty. Just red.

I use eczema cream there when it goes red or flaky.. it helps for me and it calms down within maybe a day or 2 and comes back maybe within 2-4 weeks later.. depending on weather..
