The things I’ve seen people do to that water. Whether it cycles or not, I’m local and I won’t touch it.

My dad grew up in the Bear Lake Valley and he said growing up his mom and a lot of other families back in the 70's used to drive down to Soda and fill up gallon jugs, then buy a kool-aid packet and it was a real treat for them. People would use it to make soda breads and other things.

We used to take field trips there from Bear Lake. 3rd grade was the worst. We made Kool Aid and my mom packed me an egg salad sandwich in a paper bag. That night I was on the toilet with the double dragon, blowing chunks out both ends! ha ha. I still go down there to show the kids and play on the tetter totters but with the Bayer/Monsanto plant being right behind you, I don't drink the water anymore. Still fun to catch frogs. When I was a kid and as Lava Hit Springs is so close, we were told it was a place that the indigenous people would go there to soak to get all the minerals. We are a geothermal hot spot.
