I remember when 9/11 happened, I asked my mom why God would let something like that happened and she showed me a poem called “Meet me in the stairwell” to help me understand. It did the opposite though and actually led to my deconstruction journey because wtf???

I deconstructed after a miscarriage bc as a catholic we are taught that if you are not baptized you don’t make it into heaven. Well, what happens to innocent babies who don’t get the chance to be baptized? This broke me but then it saved me. Deconstructing saved my faith in the creator not in a Christian god.

I left the faith because I couldn't understand why I was being told to put all my faith and trust in a god that allowed my stepfather to sexually assault me and my older sister when we where minors and get away with it and now is around younger children because my siblings are having children of their own. I couldn't fathom this all loving god who supposedly knows all and had written my story to be the way it is or so they say, and get back into the church where on the outside everyone loves each other but on the inside secrets, backstabbing, hierarchy, greed, and control lie dormant.

YES!! I deconstructed because of 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved. I wanted to know God so badly I searched for his roots before humanity and asked WHO ARE YOU? Once I started studying Old Testament in its original language and began to learn some Hebrew - I FOUND truth. I reached out to Jews for understanding and got it. What I learned in the Tenach broke my relationship with the Church FOREVER and I can't unsee what I now SEE!
