As a die hard doomfist main and lover I believe it was to show how lazy and complacent he had become at the top he had no reason to continue to evolve and he had lost his hunger or his thirst to become stronger and it solidifies my reasoning in the new cinematic when it cuts to doom being out of breath prime doom wouldn’t have even broken a sweat with that bot
