@sororityrushcoach: If you’re a high school senior planning to rush next fall, do NOT wait until spring semester to start getting ready! You definitely don’t need to have your rush outfits picked out or your recommendation letters lined up right now. But there are a few things you can do during senior year that will make your life SO much easier next spring and summer. Here’s where to start: 1️⃣ Keep your resume updated. Write down your leadership roles, clubs, jobs, volunteer work, awards, and activities while the details are still fresh. Trust us, trying to remember everything you did four years later is much harder! 2️⃣ Review your social media AND stay active on it. Look through your Instagram, TikTok, tagged photos, bio, and older posts. Is every single post one you’d be proud of your sorority’s chapter president seeing? Also, don’t disappear from social media senior year! Even before you commit to a school, current sorority members can and WILL start looking at your account, and some will start noticing what you post as early as fall semester of your senior year. 3️⃣ Learn how recruitment works at your future school. Once you know where you’re attending, start learning the process. When does registration open? What materials will you need? Are recommendation letters common? Every school is different, and you do NOT want to discover a deadline two weeks before it happens. 4️⃣ Start thinking about rush outfits. You don’t need to buy everything yet, but it’s helpful to learn the dress code and general vibe, think about what feels like you, and start saving ideas!
