I find it very interesting that his shadows are basically autonomous and not a reflection of his wants/desires. I also find it interesting he has negative associations with them calling their power “hideous”. His relationship to his shadows is extremely intriguing and I hope we get sooooo much more in these next books!!!

Ngl I was extremely surprised by his disinterest in his wings like my god his self hatred runs deep. It also makes me wonder, Rhys and Cass mentioned that touching their wings during sex was really intimate and rarely allowed. Cue to him and Elain, I think it will be really sweet if they cross this together and end up enjoying it more than he expected

thought this before but now I really think it makes perfect sense why Rhys face drained of color in the bc when Az expressed even just a small inkling of wanting something good for himself + that’s why he asked if he thought he deserved to be Elaine’s mate. Az wasn’t acting entitled… He for once wasn’t completely self deprecating and that shocked Rhys

MAJOR THEORY: Az says he doesn’t care if he loses his wings and says he doesn’t need them because he has ‘other ways’ to move about the world… What if it’s foreshadowing that his body will have a transformation at some point - a new form without wings, WHICH COULD MEAN Elain could actually have his babies because she won’t need room for wings anymore?? So everyone’s theory about “Nesta didn’t change elain’s body, therefore they can’t be together” won’t stand anymore.
