@chefreemahmed: For months, my body was telling me something wasn’t right. Then came the tests. The procedures. 10 polyps removed. Precancerous changes caught early. The exhaustion, pain, fear and uncertainty that came with all of it. At the same time, we discovered mold and significant damage in our kitchen, the heart of our home, the place where I cook for my family, create recipes, film, and do so much of my work. I want to be very careful with how I tell this story: I am not saying the mold caused my polyps. But experiencing these things during the same chapter of my life completely changed the way I think about my health, my home, and the environment we live in every day. So this renovation became about so much more than new cabinets and countertops. It became about tearing down, rebuilding, and beginning again Allahumabarek. الحمد لله على كل حال.
