In the nicest way possible I feel like living alone in college makes you miss out on so much

Get some roomies. It’ll help so much to be around people and meet their friends. Living off campus alone is definitely isolating you.

Get involved in sorority in other ways besides going out. It’s def the easiest way to make friends

You definitely need to spend time with more girls! Instead of solo dates go on girl dates!! Host get together and game day get readys at your place! My daughter goes to a sec school goes out all the time but doesn’t drink a lot every time. Go out and drink a mocktail

I think as you become an upperclassmen you’ll start to form more of those lifelong friendships!! I definitely felt as a junior and now a senior everything started to make more sense just put yourself out there in different spaces even if it’s uncomfortable sometimes!:)

some of my closest friends from college were not people I went out with- what about people you're in class with? or make an effort to be on campus on less "empty"

i think you should challenge yourself to go out and meet them and change your schedule to be more social, doesnt mean you have to get wasted

I had a ton of "party" friends in college that I'm not really close with now. All of my close friends I still have from pre-college or met post grad. It will all work out ❤️

You have options. Either live with people, or transfer to a college with less of a going out scene. You can’t live alone and not go out and expect friends. Sorry.

I felt that way in the beginning of being in a sorority. I made a conscious decision to start attending as many sisterhood events and social things and made much more friends in the chapter that way. Showing up more is the best way to start to make more friends!

Ok i love going out and probably overdid it sometimes in college- but that being said my BEST friends in the entire world I didn't become close to until like my senior year. I have other friends from college from before but the people I started hanging out with in my senior year are literally my soulmates. And it's really weird because I knew them since freshman year, we just never spent extensive amounts of time together. Then senior year something just shifted and it was like I can't believe these people who have been in my peripheral this entire time are actually MY people. All this to say your best friends might already be there, you just might not know it yet!! And that's so exciting. I'm 28 and I still love them more and more all the time and I get teary at the thought of them being in my wedding/being in theirs

Go to the sorority events! Is there a sorority house you can go and hang out at? I used to love just hanging out at ours, cooking with the girls, watching tv, all piled onto the couches…

Felt the same way until I lived with people! And yeah it’s not always fun having roomies, but a good life lesson, especially as an only child… u could say the same for going out, u have to make sacrifices to get friends especially at a college like umiami girl idk nothing wrong with being introverted but it gets to a point

From a grown woman who had tons of friends in college: all you really need is those few girls you can rely on and tell anything to. Don’t sweat it. You may be missing out by living alone, but if that’s your jam and you’re happy with it, I think that’s fine.

No need to pressure yourself to have the same experience in college as what’s considered typical—just have your own and i think your college experience so far is amazing!! And you’re only a sophomore, just do you.. dont gotta copy everyone else

I feel like just bringing light to this! So many girls especially in greek life feel this way and just talking about it. Also who you surround yourself is so important so it’s definitely not a bad thing if you’re not friends with everyone 🙏
