Please don't destroy it. It's better to keep it all together and gift it to someone who can seal the energy if you want to get it out if you're house. Relics like this hold energy, that can be transfered to those who possess the pages. Since most people are open vessels and don't know how to protect their energy, you'll basically give whatever is held in those pages, free access to anyone possessing a piece.
