As a kid, I remember seeing leg makeup in my mom and grandmother’s bathroom cabinet. They didn’t talk about it and apparently everyone was pretty secretive about wearing it according to my 87 year old Mom when I asked her this morning.

My grandma was really poor and she told me that they used to wash their legs with a coffee mixture and then draw the seem on with an eye pencil as they were all taking the train.
