I honestly feel bad for her. I definitely don’t like seeing her be a bad friend because of her jealousy and it’s very obvious how it’s all eating her up, but I also understand that jealousy and have a lot of empathy for where it’s coming from. Most of them started this show as docile little housewives, and then, as they gained more money and power within their relationships, most of them used that freedom to finally break out and pursue their own dreams. Their husbands were mostly supportive of that, especially Whitney’s. She’s really the only one who is still very much under her husband’s control, and she’s only now slowly starting to realize the opportunity she has here. Whitney was able to move faster because she had more support and honestly.. self respect. I truly believe she’s had many of the same dreams as Whitney for a long time. The sad part is that whatever she tries to pursue now is inevitably going to look like she’s copying Whitney, even if those were things she wanted for herself all along. And I think that’s a really unfortunate position for her to be in.
