I'm a huge fan of Alan Walker. And for those this song unsettles or confuses, I'll try to break it down. Lily was a little girl afraid of the big wide world: This line is about a young girl who grew up sheltered from how evil the world can be and growing up, she got used to the warmth of her life amd and going out unsettled her. She grew up within her castle walls is telling us that she was a princess or a young noble lady. After growing up a bit se began to feel curious about the outside world and what could be hiding there. They warned her that they were creatures outside, but she didn't listen and she went out. the chorus: follow everywhere i go. That talks about Manipulation. The creature wasn't specified to be a curse, a beast or something else. but her curiosity made her listen to his manipulative promises. Maybe because he wanted to possess her or live inside her, it also wasn't specified. The other part where she awoke from her daze, she was walking on cold thin ice, after it broke, she becane conscious. Then the possible danger started seeping into her, so she tried to run and called for help but it was behind her chasing and telling her that he could give her anything if she would let him in. Its all about, manipulation, promises and curiousity. its a story in a song. others might interpret it another way, but it's what i understand. Tge song is about, wanting to know something that could potentially harm you, being mesmerized by it and having a wake up call. i hope it helps ☺️
