I grew up nearby and I can still remember the animatronic model of Giles Corey yelling, "More Weight" as he was getting squished from a 3rd grade field trip.

i read some of the trial transcripts when I was 10ish. i had to stop when i got to this one woman who made excellent points and defended herself so eloquently i was sure she would be cleared. she was one of the ones killed.

I read somewhere that the myth of burning witches was southern propaganda during the civil war, you know, the nprthern puritans and their 'savagery'. I also think he was such a Badass.
