The yoga lunge strengthens your quads and glutes while improving knee stability and hip extension, which is important for running and sprinting. Try holding each position for at least 20 seconds and build from there.
Traditional horse stance is with toes facing forward and outer edges of feet parallel, but beginners or people with stiff hips or knees may need to turn toes outwards.
