there aren't enough comments explaining WHY this isn't matting. when curly-haired dogs, like poodles, mat, it turns into a carpet. it goes down to the skin and can come off in sheets when shaved. THIS is cording and is a completely valid protective hairstyle for poodles. we can not only see his skin, but we can see that his cords aren't pulling on that skin either. hes not abused, he's not matted, and hes not dirty
