@openroomca: If my tenants don’t pay rent, I’d think about alternative methods of holding my tenants accountable for their actions. Here are the top 4 I bet you didn't think to try. BTW I’m the one who created an entire company to go after my tenants that didn’t want to pay rent. 4 years in the making, I’m delivering some info. to you so you have OPTIONS my sisters and brothers. Let’s go: 1. Debtors are Self-Employed/Business Owners → send an anonymous tip to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) If someone is not paying rent, they are likely doing other shady things such as trying to get money from the government. You take a breather and let the government go after them for an investigation. 2. When Debtors are on Disability (ODSP) 👉 find their caseworker If someone is not paying their dues, there is a way to work with their caseworker and report them for not using the money for rent. After that, report them for fraud! 3. Getting Debtors criminally charged → work with local law enforcement and previous landlords. When there is repeated offences targeting 3+ victims, you have the opportunity to report for fraud. 4. Holding Guarantors liable → send guarantors into Equifax Guarantors in Ontario are bound to just 12 months of liability unless they agree in advance that they will be liable for a longer duration (i.e. the ENTIRETY of the lease). ++ you want to get them on the credit report too! THEY care. What other special techniques do you have? I want to know! 👇
I thought they were going to be compassionate ways to seek compensation but not you just Orwell them right to 1984.

in the rental game, tenants need to realize that they're the asset not the property. the property's worthless if it's filled with people that won't pay rent. what do investors do with bad assets? they get rid of them.

Police will tell you time & time again it's not a Police matter and will refer you to the LL&T tribunal. Late tenants know this bluff all too well.

Most landlords aren’t claiming ANY of their rental income to the CRA, they just want to rip everyone and everything off for as much as possible 😂 never met a landlord that isn’t a criminal tbh

Knowing how Canadian legal system works, none of these will get you anywhere. And you will end up with no rent, a bankruptcy, and a destroyed property with no way to recover a dime because the bankruptcy legally freed them from the debt
