Janet was in Atlanta filming Why Did I Get Married Too? when she got the call that Michael had passed. She flew to L.A. and, just months later, stood on that VMA stage. She carried so much silent pain in that era but always kept it moving ❤️🙏🏻

I didn’t know she got the call on set but I do remember them talking about how she was actively grieving during that scene. That scene is always a hard watch for me. Those were real emotions, not acting. Much love and respect to Janet always ☹️
