Cons of all if them is that you’re wasting your money, get a cheap ADN at a community college and have your employer pay for your BSN.

If you are not a party person Ramapo is a great option. It’s a small campus and classes are around 30 kids making it easier to actually connect with your professors. They also have parking for freshmen so you can bring your car. The dorms are the nicest in the state and there are no communal bathrooms! I’m in my third year and I do not regret coming to Ramapo but it really depends on what kind of college experience you are lookin for.

I’m a junior at Ramapo. Please look somewhere else. I have a lot of negative things to say besides that Ramapo is great for Nursing. But everything else, I have personally never felt more frowned upon and if you are on the quiet side and don’t talk as much, the professors will look down at you. I had two professors tell me I wasn’t capable of doing a task and expected of me of not doing something or backing out.

TCNJ has been great for nursing! I’ve gotten so many opportunities and we have a 100% pass rate in are nclex for the last three years and start clinical rotation in sophomore year and have a wide range of clinicals at top hospitals such as chop and penn! I got to do research and present it in Seattle and Columbia and I really great support from profs and peers!

As a ramapo student I’d probably say Tcnj if you want good nursing opportunities or Rutgers if you want a good college experience

I would also recommend looking into Felician University they are really helpful and their main major is nursing. The staff are all welcoming and provide lots of help.

if you want a smaller school i’d pick ramapo. we have a great nursing program with a high pass rate for the nclex. the classes are smaller but that helps you connect with your professors more. ramapo doesn’t have a lot of parties but there is always something going on either on campus or off campus. greek life is a lot easier to join here if you’re looking for that! william patterson i feel is better for business this also goes for montclair business, marketing and communications are better there. business is also good at ramapo tho. i’m a second year bio premed student and ive been able to have great professors and make friends. college really is what you make of it. not to mention ramapo has the best dorms and we are in a relatively safe area (despite the lockdown situation the other day) we’re on like a country-like road and there’s horses! so far i’ve been having a great experience here!

Highly recommend Ramapo. That recommendation came from a friend who is a professor on the Rutgers nursing staff. Everyone passed their nursing boards at Ramapo. Well respected program!

I would pick TCNJ or Rutgers imo Rutgers does have a better social scene and DNP and CRNA programs so if you are looking for grad school options there’s also that which they are top 10 in… Rutgers does have on sight clinical so you should definitely look into that and not having to drive an 1 to clincial

I’m a senior nursing student at Ramapo. It’s a small school that has its pros and cons, 100% about what u make of it. For me it’s great, I like to keep to myself, do my work, have my 4 friends, and go about my day. But that’s not everyone. There are definitely things on campus tho if you want to be social. Aside from the social part I think the program is great and built to make u succeed, not easy but very rewarding at the end. 1st 2 years is pre reqs and 3/4th year is where u gotta lock in frfr. Anywhere u go u will run into irritating profs and people, it’s just how you go about it to make everything work in the end.

Tcnj was so fun, I wouldn’t say it’s the biggest party school but there was literally something to do every weekend especially if you are in Greek life. I heard that the nursing program was pretty good as well

Montclair’s nursing is way too new and tbh they aren’t a good school for that major they’re more like business concentrated.
