As a person whose been to Congo... the scary part is not even the animals... there is just something eerie about the forest.. like even the noises animals make... told it was something spiritual

Amazon has creepy crawly stuff, but I'm terms of large predators, barely anything that a grown man couldn't deal with. Congo has just a laundry list of S tier jumbo monsters that will completely stomp a human.
