I’m 16 weeks pregnant and the amount of people that have said to me “Enjoy wearing makeup and looking nice while you can. That stops when it baby comes.” Why does it have to stop? I want my baby girl to see her mom looking good and feeling good too

I was considering stop getting my nails done every 4 weeks cause its time consuming and costs and my partner was like hell no, it makes you happy and you should keep all the things that make you happy

100% agree. I love to travel. Mine lets me solo travel while he stays behind and watches our toddler 😁

I’m due on Monday and a few weeks ago, I was preparing to get my hair done and debating aloud if I should get something lower maintenance rather than my usual full highlights. My husband was like…absolutely not, do whatever you want so you have one more reason to leave the house and leave the baby with me. He’s helping me stay ME 🥰

The person who stopped me from loosing myself to motherhood (oldest daughter problem) was my husband. He reminded me of every silly little thing I loved doing and made sure I kept doing them. Motherhood is the totally doable when the expectation isn’t that we change to a completely new person

I have two children under two. I work full time, but a hybrid in office and remote job. When I go into work, I do my hair, my makeup and I try to look decent. So many people comment how it’s a miracle that I do that and I must wake up at the crack of dawn and even said it’s selfish that I spend that time to get ready. It’s ridiculous

that's why I can admire Nara Smith. She pours into herself STILL after 4 babies and marriage.

as a first time mom that has tried to say this to everyone who’s asserted that I WILL lose myself to motherhood (I’m positive I won’t because I have the drive not to), you’re a breath of fresh air

I haven’t given up anything against my will. The only “sacrifice” is I don’t do mountaineering anymore, because it’s dangerous and I don’t want my daughter getting womanhood advice from my MIL.

I wrote about this topic on my Substack!!! I fully agree. Currently 31 weeks pregnant with my first-twin girls. Motherhood isn’t the problem the, it has a PR problem

This is EXACTLY how I felt. My son is 8 weeks old and I can’t believe how much in my head I’d built up this idea I wouldn’t enjoy it. It’s because I CONSTANTLY heard “you will never be the same again after a baby.” Nope - back in the gym, still reading, still got all my beauty appointments. My son has just slotted in and made my life better, and I’m still the same but even more confident!

I love your videos. I have a 15m old, expecting #2. Enjoying motherhood immensely because my husband still encourages, supports, and affords me time for my things. I got to return to my hobby of running, and ran a marathon at 11m pp. I also still get nails & hair done. I feel like both a mother and myself all at the same time

My favorite was when in the same conversation I was told" I shouldn't do that because I was a mother" and " you can't make being a mother your entire identity"...... while 9 months post partum and in the middle of my ex and I filing for divorce😒
