@latyanicole: Before I dive into a new book of the Bible, I’ve started doing something that has made such a difference in my Bible study! My mentor recommended The Bible Project on YouTube to me, and I am SO thankful she did. 🤍 Before starting a new book, I’ll watch The Bible Project’s overview video for that specific book. They’re usually only about 7 to 9 minutes, but they give you such a helpful overview of the context, themes, story, and what you’re about to read. I especially love doing this before reading books in the Old Testament, because let’s be honest… sometimes it can be HARD to understand what’s happening and why certain things are significant. 😂 Having that little bit of background before I start reading has helped me feel less overwhelmed and has given me a much better understanding of the bigger picture.
