Former native here! I moved away just a month ago but some really great spots for coffee and pastries are Babychan, Perenn (the Franklin location), and Mama Bread. Forevermore has some good coffee and a photo booth but not heavily pastry focused. Kisser and Noko are good Japanese/ Asian inspired restaurants. Sushi-San has good sushi. Alla Vita and Pelato has good pasta. Husk has good elevated southern food. Lastly good dive bars are Dino’s and Lakeside Lounge. LA Jackson is a good rooftop cocktail bar while Close Company is a cool cocktail bar by the river.
