fashion was a big part of alternative spaces and it still is to this day, you cant dress (for an EXAMPLE) scene and expect people not to think youre scene. That's how people from the same spaces find each other and make connections

on some level I guess you’re correct but you can’t really dress in a style very commonly associated with the alternative community and its values & politics then get upset that people automatically assume your views and beliefs 😭 people are gonna call things as they see it and if you’re getting called a poser or a larp then it’s kinda self inflicted icl
