In my 20s I lived in a small walk up in mission around 2012 that had maybe 12 units and we were all women under 35. It was like a dorm but with money! It was the besssst. Everyone had cute doormats and door decor. And it was owned by a veryyyy old couple who were so sweet.

Years ago I lived in a 4 flat in Chicago, all women in our 20’s. We kept the main entrance locked & would many times leave our front doors open and we would help each other with our kids & cooking and even cleaning sometimes. It was like having one big house. We had 4 beautiful years together and then girls started getting married and moving on.

My first ever apartment was a 4 unit with all 20 something single women. I loved it so much and felt so safe. Even if one of the women was crazy and would walk around with a hazmat suit.
