anyone who enjoys the gow combat is lying to themselves. enemies on give me god of war difficulty is the definition of bullet sponge hell. Beat 2018 by forcing myself to learn animation cancels in order to stun lock the enemies and actually make the gameplay feel fun. it pales in comparison to the og trilogy. The wolverine hate is overstated and its criticism could be applied to all the way back to 2013’s tlou. Gow 2018, and Uncharted series are all praised for the very downfalls of Wolverine.

Gow 4 should have never got a 10/10 it’s baffling tbh it had 4 unique bosses and like 18 reused bosses, the enemy verity was near non existent, the puzzles were terrible and a downgrade from gow 1-3 and the art design was pretty boring outside of alfeim like every area was dull to look at tbh and didn’t feel like a Norse world. Story was great though

personally, the combat never got boring or stale simply because it has way too many advanced techniques that you can learn, they are something outside of the game since you need YouTube guides to learn them but once you get into that world no game gets boring, the only reason I don't have 1000 hours in GOW is because I DMC5 exist

The recent God of War games are more effective because they at least give you a group of things to balance and make the fights challenging through mechanics. You’ve gotta approach stuff sort of tactically, even on lower difficulties with the side bosses.

I agree they should’ve taken him through so fuck shit imagine an entire section of the game hours where magneto bent the metal out of his body and now his combos are actively breaking his claws and you could add 3 mechanics just off this or have situations where your senses are lying to you because saber tooth went to Thailand to pick up a herb to fuck with you I think with Wolverine the unique edge he has is his life experiences and the life longe enough to forget them
