people are misunderstanding this but i get what you mean, even though the airbenders returned it’ll never be the same. we saw this in the northern air temple episode too, the world has progressed and their culture has forever been erased. no matter how hard tenzin and his family have tried, it’s not the same where are the cultural robes? their practices? and i mean true day to day practices, not just beliefs.

Tenzin is also true embodiment of Airnomads as well as Jinora she’s prodigy while her siblings are well educated. I believed Air nomads culture ends with Tenzin family, And others are just air bender because of the convergence

This is one of the reason why I hate Roku's attitude in the past. Only death made him realized that he should've choked his ex friend for the greater good. I can't imagine the lonliness of knowing that you are the only remaining true Air Nomad in the world. Add to that that Aang tried teaching his kids but his 2 older kids never cared for his culture, he was probably so saddened that when he learned Tenzin is an airbender and willing to learn about his culture he tunnel-visioned into teachinf Tenzin, leaving his 2 other kids

Exactly bringing back Airbenders does not mean bringing back the air nomads only tenzin and his blood line has true air nomad blood the rest are just Airbending earth kingdom citizens

Aangs blood is like a sacred bloodline. It would be interesting to see his bloodline be evil in like centuries as they say they are the only “true” airbenders inherited not gifted
