@Melissa Dawn: I love that you offer them food not just breakfast food. Everyone gave me a hard time when my daughter was little because I let her eat whatever (within boundaries) for any meal because a nurse would tell me feed is best. I knew she was speaking about bottles but it stuck with me

I love the way you communicate with your kids. You never rush them, you make suggestions when they’re having trouble expressing exactly what they want and are so incredibly patient while they work through things. So many of us need to take notes!

I am so impressed by the effort you make. I have six kids, work full time, and even now when some moved out: same breakfast (barely and oatmeal porridge with toppings), same lunch made the night before by the person who chose that chore that month (bread with chicken or/and pate, a whole fruit and some nuts) and after school fruit, Greek yoghurt/chia from a large tub) or they make a sandwich. Same for my husband and me. We eat a hot dinner within 30 minutes from an adult walk in the door, semi prepared the day before. Then they are off to activities, homework…Evening? More bread with toppings🙈 But I do come from a Nordic bread culture.

I love that they get unlimited fruit and veggies. it's great to be specific with hinga you want them to portion out. I think it's a good learning tool. probably way less waste when they have some autonomy over their little lives!!!
