You can still qualify for Parental Leave Pay if you have to stop working before your baby is born due to unforeseen circumstances. There are certain criteria and conditions you need to meet for an exception to the work test. I had to stop working at 25 weeks pregnant and had my baby at 29 weeks, but I was still able to access my Parental Leave Pay because I had a medical letter from my obstetrician confirming that I had to stop working due to my pregnancy complications

I just wanted to note that you’ve missed a couple of things that may be relevant to some people. Most notably super is not paid with your government paid parental leave (i.e. payday) and is instead paid at the end of the financial year. Additionally, there are income limits that mean if you’re a higher income earner you’re not eligible (approx. $180k for single parents and $360k for couples).
