We’ve taught generations of women that period pain is just something they have to tolerate. From a young age, many women are told that periods hurt. That cramping, pain and feeling unwell are simply part of menstruating and something you learn to put up with. But there’s an important difference between the normal physiological contractions that occur during menstruation and pain that is significant, debilitating or interfering with your life.
