medication is 20% of the solution. you are the other 80%. i take adderall for my ADHD and if i don’t get out of bed i just lock in on scrolling. if i can get myself out of bed doing stuff i can clean the whole house, text people back, make appointments, etc. you have to put in the work for the meds to work. it gets better. it took 6 years of different medication cocktails to realize i needed to help myself too.

it works unless you have an unrelenting despise for them and just have a mental block for taking them

YES 100%! But finding the right med/med combo is hell. But its worth it! They do have genesite testing now too. But medicine actually helped diagnose me along with keeping me stable to this day. Go to a psychiatrist though! Dont take meds from a primary care provider they just prescribe the big brands.

yes!! i’m bipolar and have adhd and medication has literally changed my life. but pls be aware that medication can only do some of the work. therapy and continuing to work on your mental health is key.

Yes. It helped me a ton! To me, it was like getting your first look at a map of a new area. I didn’t need to look at the map forever to get oriented, and the impact has lasted years after stopping medication

Im on anti depressants and im in the worst depressive episode I’ve ever been in. Yes they work but not if you have constant reminders and bad things happening in your life.

Lexapro didn’t work for me, so I got started on Zoloft and Buspar. My life has changed completely for the better. I live in fucking lalaland and it’s awesome, just a tad boring sometimes.

Yes for me it did but I know a lot of people that it didn’t work for BUT those people weren’t willing to try others either they just had the one bad experience and stopped. I’ve tried lexapro and loved it for a while but after 4 years it stopped working as well so now I’m on Prozac and it’s perfect but i definitely wanna up the milligrams

It really depends on what meds and how you specifically react to them. Unfortunately others cannot tell you if a certain medication will work well on you they can only tell you their experiences.

Yes- but it takes a lot of work to find your perfect mix. Don’t just give up when the side effects are hard. If your brain needs that extra push I promise the right pill will get you there ❤️you can also try just staying in therapy to see if you improve with time!

Every body is different you could always just test run it and tell her you’re willing to test it, but you don’t know if you wanna go on long-term express your feelings, especially when it comes to being medicated
