im as worried about the cascadia earthquake as i am about the Yellowstone volcano erupting, not worried at all, im seriously worried about data centers and climate change drying up our fresh water idgaf about an earthquake that likely wont happen in my lifetime

i have heard many videos from many people talking about shutting down that hub. but no one is talking about ideas or solutions for a new one. oregons fuel comes from a pipeline that fills those tanks and another hub in eugene i believe. before that hub can get shutdown a new one needs to be built and an extention on the pipeline needs to be built.

it's seems like Oregon government really doesn't care about anything but your taxes.. because the government has allowed the sanctuary city groups to take over and polluted are Forrest and there are No environmental people kicking the homeless out..if the Oregon government doesn't care about the Forrest why would they care.Al gore was big money on all this stuff and it's worse today

I think the question here is whether Jeremy is just another liberal politician campaigning on themes STEM illiterate environmentalists will love or is he really so clueless about earthquakes and what would happen if the Cascadia quake hit? What to do with heavily utilized industrial areas of the city is a valid policy and political question. Claiming urgency due to a potential natural disaster is less so. And when said natural disaster is an unprecedented event like the Cascadia earthquake it’s plain retarded. The anti nuclear folks in Oregon regularly used it as an excuse to shut Trojan down. As someone who worked there I found it to be an example of how stupid most self proclaimed environmentalists are. The same applies here. Portland gets hit with a large subduction zone earthquake one of the few positive aspects will be the wall of water rushing down the Columbia River extinguishing fires and washing the bodies down the river. Most of the city is not designed to withstand that strong of a quake. Tho energy hub will be the least of the city’s worries.
