Brother ,The real question is not simply “subsidy or no subsidy.” Nigeria should have first built a clear transition plan: guarantee adequate crude to local refineries, increase domestic refining, cut unnecessary government costs, prevent corruption in subsidy payments, and use any savings transparently to reduce transport and energy costs. If the goal is cheaper petrol, Nigerians need to see a sustainable mechanism that actually brings the pump price down,not politicians changing positions whenever the political wind changes.
