I supervise a small department. Recently the team wasn’t doing the weekly clean so I left a picture of me with the crying filter on saying “why no mop”. Got done the next day.

I hate passive aggressive low level managers as well but this is basic cashier duties bro, just be glad you aren't being hounded to ask every customer to apply a credit card or get vaccinated or to do receipt surveys

As an ex-manager, lemme put in my two cents on the Family Dollar: #1- Reasonable. A job is a job. #2- Ridiculous. People aren't machines, they get tired. #3- I hate this rule. Be polite, but not everyone wants to have a conversation in a store. #4- Reasonable (I always let my stock employees put in an earbud- just do your job and idgaf) #5- Reasonable. Robbery prevention planning is truly what keeps people safe 9/10. Most of the time, robbers don't want to hurt people- just access to money. #6- Reasonable. If you have a designated section that you are responsible for attending, it is your job to see it done (Everyone is held to this standard, or else everyone finds an excuse). #7- Reasonable. Cleaning up after someone else is the easiest way to build animosity. #8- Ridiculous. If the MoD can't assure all tasks are complete, then pictures are doing nothing but demanding receipts for work that should have already been checked by a supervisor. #9- Reasonable. There's a job that needs to be done. If responsibility cannot be entrusted to follow a schedule or plan for predictable difficulties, then a manager must find someone that won't bail on other employees (Points 1, 4, and 6.). BONUS- If the manager had to print this out, then I can almost guarantee that there was at least one person who tried to use the "it's not in my job description" when it quite literally is. Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, etc. are terrible places to work simply because nobody wants to be there.
