if you can afford it (most can't I know) Brazil WANTS investments. if you buy a house to live in any city in Brazil for 200k usd you get a golden visa and fast track for dual citizenship. If you can work remotely from the US, it's a great option.

Store and rotate water, buy freeze dried foods, have 6 months of dog food on hand for the fur babies, have 15-20 gallons of gas on hand- non ethonol with fuel stabilizer in them for good measure. Having silver on hand in different denominations isn’t a bad idea, fractional grams, silver quarters dimes, halves, 1 oz bars and rounds. Get a generator and a solar backup with solar panels. Buy 24 hour candles. Have some defensive capabilities, (duh, it’s America in any year), rent a safe deposit box at a bank and keep marriage certificate etc there, because if you have to bounce or if there’s a fire, it’s more safe at the bank than at home (it’s not immune mind you). I dunno, it’s past 3:30 am, that’s all my mind has for right meow.
