If you don’t like her that’s fine, but she’s had an impact on music and culture. She held her albums off streaming and fought for artists to get more money from streaming services. Her re-recordings changed the conversation around ownership in publishing for all artists including new artists. Her eras tour, the largest in history, inspired many artists to embark on their own similar tours with similar conceits. The white mediocrity comment is a cheap jab. The only thing I agree with here is that yes, you don’t understand.

She writes songs by chopping up children’s books and pasting sentences together. People analyze her lyrics like they are reading hieroglyphics and she is some lyrical genius. When in reality she doesn’t understand her lyrics either.
