Had something similar happen to the family dachshund when I was a kid. It was some kind of moth (I don't remember what kind, it was 40 something years ago) & I remember watching the vet remove it, clean the wound, stitch it, & then my parents having to give the dog antibiotics for like 10 days. I remember being equal parts grossed out & fascinated because I had never seen anything like it. 😳😳 I was a strange kid. 😁😁 Our doxy lived about another 10 years. She was an awesome dog. 😁
