Today is my birthday. And more than anything, today I’m grateful to still be here. I’m grateful my suicide attempt wasn’t successful. I’m grateful that the version of me who believed the world would be better without him didn’t get the final say. Because the life I live today was worth fighting for. But I need you to understand something: I had to fight for it. I had to work for it. Nothing about healing came easy. We don’t usually arrive in despair overnight. Sometimes, little by little, through our decisions, habits, pain, isolation, addictions, circumstances, and wounds, we work our way into darkness without even realizing how far we’ve gone. And that taught me something: Work has a reward. Work in the wrong direction can destroy your life. But work in the right direction can rebuild it. So if you’re reading this believing you shouldn’t be here, or believing this world would somehow be better without you, I want to tell you right now: That is a lie. There may be somebody desperately waiting for you to change your life so they can finally believe they can change theirs. That’s why I share my story. Not to brag about what I’ve healed from. I share it so somebody else knows healing is possible. On Saturday, September 19th at 9:30 AM Pacific Time, we’re going LIVE on TikTok for my birthday giveaway. We’re going to walk around and find five random strangers. We’re going to hear their stories, share mine, and bless each one with $3,000. More than 3,000 people helped make this possible. But the money is only part of the story. This is about pain becoming purpose. Grief becoming greatness. Loss becoming leadership. Addiction becoming freedom. Despair becoming hope. This is a story of redemption. A story of restoration. A story that proves people CAN change. And I believe September 19th will be bigger than giving away $15,000. I believe somebody watching will decide to fight one more day. Somebody will choose recovery. Somebody will choose healing. Somebody will finally believe that the darkness they’re standing in does not have to be where their story ends. If that’s you—or you know somebody who needs that hope—come watch. September 19th. 9:30 AM Pacific. TikTok LIVE. Today, on my birthday, I don’t celebrate simply getting another year of life. I celebrate the fact that I stayed long enough to finally discover what my life could become. And if you’re still here— your story isn’t finished either. #RadicalMovement #SilenceNeverSavedAnybody #ChooseToStay
