@sophiahastings4444: She secretly gave her sister $8,000 from their house fund—so her husband locked her out of everything left. 😳 Did he protect their money, or did he cross an even bigger line? Who’s guilty? ⚖️ #BeefCourt #MarriageDrama #MoneyProblems #RelationshipTok #StorytimeTikTok

If my husband wouldn’t help my sister then we have bigger issues.

Ran this by my gf and brother. They would do the same thing(same with me) if their partner secretly sent a large amount of money to ANYONE parents included.

If the money is shared savings in a shared account you always discuss any distribution of funds with your partner. If you don’t want it that way, you open your own account. Once you commit to financial agreements together, neither one of them should be touching anything without the other’s knowledge. If he did the same thing in the past I have to assume they discussed his actions and likely agreed that wouldn’t happen again, which makes her doing that even worse. I’m not saying she shouldn’t help her sister, but she definitely should have gotten his approval first.

If my partner took money out of our shared account without telling me about it and without me agreeing upon it I would consider that a huge betrayal. I wouldn't trust her with the money and I would no longer have a shared bank account with her

She was wrong. How will she pay it back if she is unemployed? By when? Does the sister have a pattern of being financially irresponsible? This possibly sets the sister and her husband back on their house plans. She should have discussed with her husband. If the money was half hers I would understand him taking taking 12,500 and moving it to the other account leaving her with the remainder of her half.
