they all moved to Cali. Then moved to Texas. While like Hawaii, Boston also where some stuck around.

Before pho or Vietnamese food became much more mainstream like it is now, my parents opened the first Vietnamese restaurant in Waikiki, the tourist center, and were there for over 20 years. They moved the restaurant over to Kapahulu before retiring.

Go to my aunt restaurant in Lahaina or Kihei!!! Both called NOODLE BAR! We just rebuilt after the fires! ❤️❤️❤️

Man I came across this book on Hawaiian natives a long with other old used books.. it was so fascinating. But my Vietnames mom who is a colonized Catholic person saw it and she got rid of it. And it made me think of why Vietnamese people feel strongly towards ancient practices … the outlawing of tattooing..
