ad OMG… I turned a £52 RUG into a headboard 🤯 and I think this might be one of my favourite bedroom hacks yet! I’ve been wanting to give this room a bit more character and texture, but rather than buying everything for its intended purpose, I challenged myself to look at a few @B&Q finds completely differently 👀 First up, the headboard. This £52 rug was the perfect size and all I used was heavy duty Velcro tape to secure it to the wall. No complicated build, and I LOVE how much softness and pattern it brings to the room. Then there was the second hand divan which had definitely seen better days 😂 A ruffled valance hid a multitude of sins, and after a good steam and plenty of layered cushions, it completely transformed it. For the bedside tables, I took ribbed plant pots, sprayed them black and added oak furniture board tops. Not only do they look like proper pieces of furniture, they’ve given me loads of hidden storage too! And possibly my favourite unexpected hack… hanging baskets as LIGHTS 💡 I removed the chains and liners, added pendant kits and hung them from simple wall brackets either side of the bed. I honestly think they look so much more expensive than they were. It’s amazing what you can create when you stop looking at what something is and start thinking about what it could be 🙌🏼 Now there’s just one thing bothering me… those walls need COLOUR! So which would you choose, OPTION A or OPTION B? 👀 Let me know below and tell me which hack you’d actually try! Love Jack x Everything used was from B&Q: • Nightshade Rug 5060954480902 £52 • Velcro Tape 1952839 £9.38 • Black Ribbed Pots 5063022561039 £18 each • Verve Citrus Terracotta Plastic Grow Pot 3663602462729 £20 • Snowdon Timber Oak Furniture Board 5060893867840 £75.95 • MDF Sheet 1696266 £21 • Zinsser Primer 5037898610801 £25 • Base Valance 5055875337657 £15.99 • Natural Cushions 5056693563006 £14 each • Pattern Cushions 8980019577853 £14 each • Black Wall Brackets 3663602764960 £9 each • Black Pendant Cables 5014838957028 £20.88 each
