If you get desperate with them being sore, I would let my daughter gum on the white end of a green onion or a wet frozen washcloth. Even dabbing some vanilla’s extract on the areas that are sore. Been using my iPhone 16 Pro Max since April 2025… still 100% battery health. This is how I do it: 1️⃣ Charge During the Day, Don’t Let It Drop Too Low I mostly charge my iPhone while I’m working or at home. I don’t let it drop below ~20%, so the battery isn’t stressed by deep discharges. This keeps it healthy over time and avoids unnecessary wear. 2️⃣ Optimized Charging is Off — Cap at 85% I don’t use Apple’s “Optimized Charging.” Instead, I manually cap my charge at 85%. I only charge to 100% if I know I’ll be out all day. This reduces the time my battery spends at full charge, which slows down battery aging. 3️⃣ Automations for Smart Alerts I’ve set up automations to notify me at 25% and 85%. This way, I never over-drain or over-charge, and I can manage my battery efficiently without constantly checking it. 4️⃣ Avoid Heat & Use Good Chargers If my phone feels warm while charging, I stop. Heat accelerates battery wear, so I avoid charging in hot conditions. I stick to regular Apple chargers — nothing cheap, nothing sketchy.
