My husband rode, but I stopped riding with him when we had kids. He asked me why and I said that in case of an accident, I can’t risk our kids losing both parents. He sold the bike, he knew it was dangerous, but when I phrased it like that, it made him realize he doesn’t want to take that risk either while the kids are young

My father started wearing full gear when he got together with my mom and stopped riding entirely when my mother got pregnant with my older brother because he wanted to be there for them and 16 years later my brother got his license and my father started to ride again. I also got my license and now we have more bikes than cars at home.

My dad sold his motorcycles when I was born he just said he wanted a boy and didn’t think I would like them but when I got older he said that he didn’t have a dad and didn’t want to die on his motorcycle and I’m left without a dad so he sold them but he’s planning to get me a motorcycle when I’m 15 or 16

My bf barely rides anymore and I wonder all the time if it’s bc of me but I love backpacking him. It is so scary I’ve seen him get in an accident before but I just want to get a bike and ride around with him.
